This meditation uses a Mudra (hand position as above) and a Mantra (words and sounds). The Mudra is as above and is explained in the recording below. The Mantra is Saa Taa Naa Maa and is first chanted out aloud, then whispered, then repeated mentally, then whispered and then chanted out aloud again. This is all explained in the recording and it is easy to follow as the music supports you.

The meaning in the Mantra follows the cycle of life >>
Saa: Infinity, cosmos, beginning
Taa: Life, existence
Naa: Death, change, transformation
Maa: Rebirth

Each finger in the Mudra has an effect on our consciousness. By pressing the Thumb (which represents the Ego) against each finger we "seal" the effect on this Mudra in our consciousness.
1st finger (index): Gyan Mudra - Knowledge
2nd finger (middle): Shuni Mudra - Wisdom, Intelligence, Patience
3rd finger (ring): Surya Mudra - Vitality, Energy of Life
4th finger (pinkie): Buddhi Mudra - Ability to Communicate

So I hope you enjoy this very powerful meditation! PRESS PLAY >>
The music played in the recording is Sa Ta Na Ma by Jiwanpal Kaur and can be purchased through iTunes for just over $1.50 by CLICKING HERE.
