who is mish?

Hello there! It's lovely to "website" meet you. I'm looking forward to meeting you face-to-face or online soon but until then, I thought I'd introduce myself.
Hi, I'm Mish!
I teach Transformational Meditation, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, I hold New Moon Women's Gatherings and Full Moon Gong Healings. I also teach Meditation Online if you're not in my area. A while ago I trained as a Naturopath, which lead me to my interest in the healing power of the mind, and have also completed Reiki Training as well as a Life Coaching Certificate.
Along my journey, I have come to the understanding that my health and happiness are actually directly linked to the thoughts I think and the emotions I feel. The state of my health is not just the result of the food I put in my mouth or the way I move my body and my happiness is actually not directly connected to the amount of money I have, or my successes or even the love I receive in my life.
I came to realise this through practicing Meditation and Kundalini Yoga after many years of avoiding my thoughts and feelings. In my 20's I was masterful at keeping busy to avoid hearing my thoughts and feeling my emotions. Social engagements, long hours at work, drinking, personal development courses, always on the phone talking, rushing from here to there, I couldn't even sit still at the traffic lights, checking Social Media to escape being in the stillness, in the quiet. I was afraid of what I might hear, what I might feel.
Meditation found me at a particularly hectic but empty time in my life and this is where I began to grow courage to feel. To sit with what was there in the silence.
I moved States. I used to live in Melbourne (Australia), in the hustle of city life, and moved to the South Coast of New South Wales, an hour south of Sydney, where there was minimal hustle, no one I knew, no place to get busy to escape. It was a challenge to say the least.
And then I found Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga supported me in finding deep peace underneath the roller coaster of life. What I have finally accepted is that life isn't all flowers and sunbeams and it's actually not meant to be. It's also not all storms and lightning. It is ever changing! That is truly the human experience. Positive and Negative. Up and Down. Light and Dark. Sunshine and Rain. Love and Fear. Compassion and Anger.
It's what we are here to experience. But we have forgotten that.
So we strive to maintain Positive thoughts and feelings and avoid Negative thoughts and feelings. We feel great when we are going Up but we kick and scream on the way Down. We incessantly try to transform all that is Dark within ourselves to Light. We smile and lay on the grass in the Sunshine but run and whinge as soon as it starts to Rain. We do anything to maintain that feeling of Love and use addictive, numbing substances to suppress the Fear. We judge being Compassionate as "good" and we chastise ourselves for feeling Anger because it is "bad".
We miss out on the full, rich experience of being human because we deny one half of life. We feel this split within us. As I said, the experience of life is not all flowers and sunbeams, but we honestly strive to make it that way (I know I have and continue to forget), and this is a goal that we will never achieve. It sounds like a depressing realisation but striving for this impossible goal of "everlasting happiness" is much more exhausting, painful, anxiety ridden and depressing.
So if we aren't striving for "everlasting happiness", what's the alternative?
Living in non-resistance. Being at Peace with whatever comes and goes. Experiencing both the Positive and Negative by feeling these experiences in your body. Riding the Ups and the Downs and fully embracing both experiences. Allowing our Darkness and our Light, fully accepting ourselves however we are in this moment right now. Perfect, imperfect, who cares, just BE it! Observe the thoughts and feeling of Love in your body, in your being, experience it passing through your cells. Observe the thoughts and feeling of Fear in your body, in your being, experience it passing through your cells. Take away judgment of "good" feelings and "bad" feelings. Just feel. Just allow thoughts and feelings to rise up, check them out, whisper "hey you", allow them to do their dance, rip at your insides, create agony, create bliss, pure joy, whatever it is and watch them pass.
This alternative way of being, this non-resistant way of being, is the only true antidote to stress, anxiety and depression. Because again life is not all flowers and sunbeams. We will experience the storms and lightening. Resisting these is what gives us the stress, anxiety and depression.
When we stop resisting, when we be non-resistant, stress disappears. When stress chemicals in our body are no longer released, our health improves, our body has the perfect environment for its natural healing processes. Anxiety is no longer present in this allowing state, so whatever we face in the future, good/bad, we have courage to experience it because we no longer judge it. Our depression lifts as we fully accept all parts of ourselves. Our mistakes of the past are reframed as experiences. And yes, we may choose differently in the future, but not out of fear or guilt, out of a greater sense of our who we really are. Perfectly, imperfect.
And then interestingly, a deep Peace arises.
Now don't get me wrong, I definitely don't live perfectly in this state of non-resistance all of the time. And this is the exact reason that I practice Meditation and Kundalini Yoga. Meditation and Kundalini Yoga help me practice living a full and courageous life experiencing all that comes my way (good and bad) with peaceful observation, choosing how I wish to respond rather than to react to life which gives me the best opportunity to choose which parts of me (remember we all have light and dark) that I want to share with the world. Who I want to BE in the world.
Do you want to be at Peace with whatever comes your way? Eliminate Stress, Anxiety or Depression from you life? Choose which parts of you you want to share with the world whilst peacefully observing the rest?
This is what I love to teach people to do through Meditation and Kundalini Yoga. It's a skill that you can learn. But it's not natural to our current way of living, so it's important to practice and get the support that you need from a Teacher. I have a Teacher who supports me in my practice and I would LOVE to support you!
So if what I've shared about my experience speaks to you and you feel that we are a fit head on over to the >>
