six week women's meditation group

In our current societies busy social structure, women have lost one of our primal needs - to connect with our Sisterhood of Tribes Women. 

While the Men went out hunting and searching for safer caves to migrate too, Women would gather together and support one another. We would talk, laugh, be creative, nurture our young together, be there when one of our sisters was sick and carry the load for her. And when the Men returned we would cook and share with one another.

These days we do much of that on our own. Essentially alone. But we still crave that primal need to connect with our Sisterhood, our Tribe of Women. We still crave a heart to heart talk about our challenges and victories, we want to laugh and express our femininity. We want to know that we aren't the only ones challenged by juggling the kids, our partner, the house, our families health, the finances and (if we are lucky) fit in time for ourselves and our own happiness. 

This is why our Sisterhood of the Illawarra Tribe meet together once a week for Meditation. Not only to schedule in and make sure we give ourselves the much deserved quiet time that we need, to consider ourselves and fill ourselves up, but also to connect with our likeminded Sisters.

The details of our next Women's Meditation Gathering are below and within the time leading up to Christmas that we will spend together, we will be focusing on Meditations to alleviate the stressors that we Women experience leading up to this busy Christmas Holiday period. 

We will meditate and have group discussions on;

  • Time - how to alleviate our stress related to having more to do than we have time to do it in; 
  • Family - resolving any conflict we feel within and creating space for peaceful relationships;
  • Money - feeling abundant in a time that can become a financial strain;
  • Giving & Receiving - giving your "best you" and how to ensure to put the oxygen mask on yourself first;
  • Health - how to support ourselves to stay healthy throughout the Christmas period, on our terms;
  • Holidays - staying present, the art of "deserving" and setting guilt free boundaries so you get a holiday too!

We gather on Thursdays at 12.45pm - 2.00pm with our last gathering on the 18th of December 2014
